Unfortunately XP and XN versions can't be tested using same IF value (1320MHz) because for XP version the LO is outside of band pass filters range and HMC967's mixer is not drive enough when IF is less than 2.1GHz.
XP gain is great affected for IF<2.1GHz (RF IN 24.048GHz) even both units XN/XP has exactly same frontend.
Same reason for XN, poor performance when IF is higher than 1.8GHz.
Is just about insuficient LO internal level, nothing else.
My doubt is regarding poor performances of XP using 2364/144 additional conversion. The noise floor and S/N are quite poor compared with XN and can be due to other factors explained before.
I will revert with my test results regarding XN & XP gain, NF using optimal IF value, same LO PLL arhitecture.
